Allen E. Coffey Jr.

FALMOUTH – Allen E. Coffey Jr., 85, of Rockwood Terrace, passed away on April 27, 2021 at the Gosnell House, Scarborough. Allen was born in South Portland, a son of Allen Sr. and Eva M. (Crompton) Coffey.

Allen graduated from South Portland High School and attended Maine Vocational Technical Institution. He was in the Air National Guard in South Portland for over 13 years. Allen worked as a driver for Coleman Excavating for 10 years and at Central Maine Power for 37 years where he worked in sub stations repair.

He was a member of the Falmouth Congregational Church, a life member of the Falmouth Fire Department, a member of Odd Fellows and a 50-year Mason belonging to the former Cornerstone Lodge in Portland where he became a 32 degree Mason.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Rose Carol (Cummings) Coffey and a daughter, Sandra Mae (Coffey) Doyle.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Coffey of Falmouth; son, Michael Coffey and his wife Ruth of Yarmouth, daughters, Pam Christesen and her husband David of Ft. Worth, Texas, Diana Smith of Pine Bluff, Ark.; sister, Peg Howe and her husband Tom of South Portland; grandchildren, Elizabeth Coffey of Yarmouth, Patrick Coffey and wife Samantha of Yarmouth, Jenny Lane and husband Jaron of Edmond, Okla., Stephanie Mo and husband Adrian of McKinney, Texas, Suzi Davis and husband John of Starcity, Ark., Melissa Hargrave and husband Sam of Woodlawn, Ark.; great-grandchildren, Emmalee, John, Sheamus, Chloe of Yarmouth, Garrett, Emma, Hudson of Edmond, Okla., Caroline of McKinney, Texas, Britton, Justin of Woodlawn Ark., Ryan of Star City, Ark., Robert and wife Morgan of Little Rock, Ark.; and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, May 3, 2021, at Lindquist Funeral Home, 1 Mayberry Lane, Yarmouth. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 4, at Falmouth Congregational Church, 267 Falmouth Rd., Falmouth. Burial will follow at Blanchard Cemetery in Falmouth.
