The northbound lanes of Interstate 95 at Augusta near mile marker 110 were briefly closed Friday afternoon while Augusta fire crews extinguished a brush fire.
The fire was reported around 3:45 p.m. in the woods off the side of the road.
Both lanes were closed for a few minutes but one was reopened shortly after as the blaze was brought under control.
Both lanes were reopened by 4:50 p.m.
Crews called for an engine and a tanker from Belgrade.
