The Westbrook American reported on Dec. 4, 1957, that PFC Gerard Caron, U.S. Army, was stationed with the 1st Cavalry Division of the 21st Infantry in Korea. His mother, Rose Caron, lived on Bridge Street. In Gorham, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Newell and children were holiday guests of her parents in Westboro, Massachusetts.
