The 12-year-old reported to school officials that a man driving a white GMC cargo van tried to talk him into the vehicle while he waited for his school bus Tuesday morning.

Police say one of the men, Ryan Benoit of Bridgton, sped away after a traffic stop and later fled from a state police cruiser.
