Selectmen Clifford Emery and Robert Libby believe a bypass of Gorham Village would reduce traffic on Buxton roads.

Emery said many commuters from Standish cut through Buxton, using Route 22 to bypass the traffic “mess” in Gorham. Emery said a Gorham bypass would ease traffic on Route 22 in Buxton.

Libby agreed. “It will take traffic out of Buxton,” Libby said about a Gorham bypass
