I read the American Journal’s March 2 edition. I was checking out the Honor Roll lists for Westbrook and Gorham high schools. I’m trying to figure out why Gorham has approximately 282 students on the honor roll and Westbrook only has about 109?

Westbrook enrolls 861 at the high school, and Gorham enrolls 783. Not much difference.

Does Gorham have smarter students than Westbrook? Are the teachers better in Gorham? I think they all even drink the same Sebago Lake water.

What’s up with this? Can anyone help me figure this out?

Also, when the police are doing their seat belt thing next week. I wish they would check out the many children under age 16 riding around Westbrook with no helmets on. I believe it is a law in this city. Maybe if a couple of tickets were handed out, these young people would get the message.
