In last week’s column, the names of four members of the family of Phil and Nancy Curran were accidentally omitted.

Those who also attended the couple’s 50th wedding anniversary celebration included their son, Andrew, and his wife, Janet (Edmonds) Curran of Westbrook; and grandchildren John Burnham, who was home from Loyola University in Chicago, Ill., and Brianne Goyet of Sinton, Texas.

Democratic Committee to meet

The Westbrook Democratic City Committee will meet at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 28, in room 114 at Westbrook High School.

Any person who is planning to run for office in the November election must attend this meeting.

Martin family celebrates

The family of the late Alphy and Lorette Martin held a reunion on Saturday, July 16, at Sunset Ridge in Windham.

The celebration included a luncheon, games and sharing memories.

Those who attended included Carol and Larry Caron, Michael and Sheila Caron, and Joshua Caron, all of Westbrook; Mark and Brenda Caron, Naomi Caron, Steve Hare, Velma and Jim LaBrecque, Cindy and Don Roy, Laurie Martin, Candice Poirier, George McCullam, all of Windham; Robert and Mignonne Martin, Shapleigh; Robert and Tammy Martin Jr., Mary Martin and Mark Martin, all of Saco; Patti and Tony Ellsworth and Sean Ellsworth, Lyman; Oline and Dick Vargas, Chris and Jenny Vargas, Kaitlyn Vargas, Meaghan Vargas, Lindsey Vargas and Molly Ober, all of Concord, Calif.; Connie and Joe Errico and Kenneth and Karen Errico, Revere, Mass.; David and Susan Errico, Annalise Errico, Isabelle Errico, Daniel Errico, all of Beverly, Mass.; Robert and Rosanne Errico, Nikola Errico, Christopher Errico, all of Boxford, Mass.; Clifford Martin, Guy Martin, Guy Martin Jr., Gus Martin, and Ryan Martin, all of Tampa, Fla.; Robin and John Sarno, Scottsdale, Ariz.; Vicki and Stephen Giaquinto, and Michael Giaquinto, Falmouth.

The festivities continued into the evening at the home of Carol and Larry Caron. Rev. Tom Murphy celebrated at an outdoor mass followed by a dinner.

During the evening, Cindy and Don Roy provided musical entertainment. They were accompanied by Kate LaRoyer, Sue Volmer, Mary Ellen and Brian Rollins, Patti and Clive Tillotson, Eric Paetow, Ann Marie Chandler, Michael Connolly, Becky Hitchcock, Gail Dransfield, Carole Miller and Nancy Beimier.

Others attending the celebration at the Caron home were Doreen and Armand Arsenault and Frank Ward of Falmouth.

The family regrouped for a cookout on the following Sunday afternoon and all had a wonderful time.

Boffa in the park

Tony Boffa and his band will play from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Aug. 24, in Riverbank Park.

The concert is the finale in a free summer concert series.

Don’t miss the action

Someone will win $500 as the top prize in the Stephen W. Manchester Post 62 of the American Legion raffle during the concert today, Aug. 24, at Riverbank Park.

Including the $500 cash, the drawing includes 12 prizes. Second prize is a three-hour DJ audio visual production valued at $250. Third prize is two ferry tickets from Bar Harbor to Yarmouth, Nova, Scotia.

The proceeds will benefit the post’s elevator fund. Raffle tickets are $1 or 6 for $5.
