The annual Winter Bomb extreme biking competition will be held at the Shawnee Peak ski resort in Bridgton on Jan. 28.
The Winter Bomb will be open to all comers and all skill levels. The downhill, slope style course, and big air jump will all feature three paths, each varying in “gnarliness” to suit contestant’s skill levels. Entry fees are $25 for one event and $35 for all three events.
Prizes will go to the winners of each event, plus an extra award for the biggest crash of the competition.
The event will run from about 9 a.m. until the late afternoon and will be followed by a performance at Shawnee Peak’s Blizzards Pub by Portland-based classic rock cover band Under the Covers from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
