STRIVE will be holding its annual “The Sky is the Limit” auction on April 5 at the Maine Mall Sheraton Hotel.

STRIVE is seeking donations from local businesses to the auction. The auction provides an opportunity to promote local businesses while supporting STRIVE’s programs.

Last year’s auction included a wide variety of auction items, including a hot air balloon ride, six months of digital cable, a week stay at a beachfront Port Clyde home and Boston Red Sox tickets.

This year STRIVE needs to receive donated items by March 31 to ensure that they will be listed in the event program, on STRIVE’s Web site and in advertisements. Items can be mailed to STRIVE, 28 Foden Road, South Portland, ME 04106.

The proceeds from the auction go to support STRIVE’s annual budget for Friday Night Social events, Wednesday Night Educational series, Weekend Community events and STRIVE U-post-secondary education.

A silent auction will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. April 5 and will be followed by a live auction. For more information, call the STRIVE office at 774-6278.
