Gov. John Baldacci has declared the week of April 22-29 as Discover RV’ing Week in the state of Maine.

In his proclomation declaring RV’ing Week, Baldacci said the RV industry is a large part of the tourism and seasonal economy in Maine, and having a week devoted to RV’ing prior to the start of the camping season is beneficial to both businesses in Maine and tourists looking for summer activities.

“Discover RV’ing in Maine, It’s your state, see it in an RV,” is the official slogan of RV’ing week. The week is designed to encourage both Mainers and tourists to embark on a journey throughout the state, seeing all that it has to offer.

RV’ing in Maine allows vacationers to see everything, including beautiful waterfronts, coastal views and miles and miles of pine trees and to meet some of the nicest people and see some of the nicest towns in the country.
