This is the way Gorham High School looked when it was built in 1959. It replaced the Shaw School on South Street that was built in 1938 as a high school. For a while, the Shaw School had double sessions, serving also as a junior high school until the new high school opened. The present high school was remodeled in the mid 1990s.
