The Cape Elizabeth Citizens’ Task Force on TABOR and the Board of Trustees of the Thomas Memorial Library are sponsoring a panel discussion in the Taxpayer Bill of Rights, Sunday, Oct. 22, at 1 p.m., at the Cape Elizabeth Middle School.
Participating in the panel are: Phyllis Cohn of AARP, for Citizens United; Bill Becker for the Maine Heritage Foundation; economists Scott Moody of Maine Heritage Foundation and Charles Colgan of the University of Southern Maine’s Muskie School of Public Service; Mayor Paul LePage of Waterville, favoring TABOR; and Mayor James Cohen of Portland, against TABOR.
David Backer, chairman of the Cape Elizabeth Town Council, will moderate. It is open to the public, and attendees will have an opportunity to question the panelists.
