I would like to thank someone who I feel goes above and beyond her job responsibilities.
Last Sunday evening after the Univceristy of Southern Maine Halloween party, we were leaving to hike up to the upper parking lot in the windy cold night air. There were five of us shivering when we spotted a “hay ride” shuttle and called over. It was Cindy Hazelton, director of the Gorham Recreation Department, who cheerfully came to our assistance. As we were driving away, she spotted another group of costumed children and adults leaving, and shouted out her offer to shuttle.
Needless to say they were happy to accept the ride. With at least 20 of us in tow, she drove us to the outer parking lot. Thank you so much, Cindy – not just for providing a shuttle service on a very cold night, but also for all you and your staff do at Gorham Recreation Department for the community. It is much appreciated.
