In the investigation of missing Bonny Eagle student Coreen Wiese, Mark Latti, a spokesman for the Maine Warden Service, said today (Nov. 14) that investigators found two suicide notes Friday.

Latti said suicide notes were found in two places, one at the bridge over the Saco River on Route 25 at a spot known as the Limington Rapids and another at the girls’ home in Buxton.

Latti declined to release any wording on the found messages.

He also said wardens found personal effects, an MP-3 player and a cell phone, near the bridge.

Wardens are focusing their search for the girl at the rapids near the bridge and down the Saco River. Latti said wardens are walking and scanning the riverbanks.

“We’re focusing on it could have been a suicide,” Latti said. “If she’s dead, that’s where she is.”

The water is too high to safely put a diver in, Latti said. Wardens will resume a search from an aircraft as soon as weather permits.
