Westbrook will host its annual rabies shots and licensing clinic on Saturday, Jan. 13, from 2-4 p.m., at the Dunn Street American Legion Hall.

The cost per vaccine is $8. Those who are bring their pets must have dogs are on a leash and cats in a carrier. The clinic is sponsored by Stoneledge Animal Hospital and the Dehler Animal Clinic.

State law requires cats to receive rabies vaccine annually, and dogs every three years.

State law also requires all dogs to be licensed annually. This can be done at the clinic, at City Hall or on line at www.westbrookmaine.com. Needed are proof of current rabies vaccine and spay or neuter certificate if applicable. The cost is $6 for neutered dogs or $10 for un-neutered dogs.

After Feb. 1, a late fee of $15 will be charged, and on April 1 a $25 warrant fee becomes effective.
