Driver Lucas Buzzell, 19, of Gorham, and two passengers were uninjured when this Ford Expedition SUV, which was traveling south on Wards Hill Road in Gorham, struck a utility pole after skidding in the slush, at 12:41 p.m. on New Year’s Day. The vehicle sustained front-end damage. Officer Mark Sanborn, seen photographing the vehicle, responded to the accident, which was one of two reported in Gorham on a day marked by rain and freezing rain.
