The Scarborough High boys and girls swim teams continue to prepare for the upcoming league and regional competitions. Both Red Storm squads had fine performances in last week’s win over Cheverus.

The boys topped the Stags 106-63 while the girls eased past their counterparts 111-55.

The Scarborough girls had winning swims from Sarah Reynolds (200 free), Nicole Harmon (200 individual medley and 100 backstroke), Aubrey Wagner (100 butterfly), and Christine Beecher (500 free).

The Red Storm also won all three relay events with Harmon, Brittanie Bradley, Beecher and Allison Rogers taking the 200 medley relay; Bradley, Julie Passarelli, Elizabeth Couillard and Reynolds winning the 200 freestyle relay; and Beecher, Harmon, Reynolds and Rogers combining to win the 400 freestyle relay race.

The Scarborough boys had strong individual efforts as well with wins coming from Bryant Shannon (200 free), Kaycee Stevens (100 free), Nick Twomey (500 free), and Jon Russell (100 breaststroke).

The Red Storm foursome of Thomas Spencer, Peter Griffin, Ryan Whelan, and Kaycee Stevens won the 200 freestyle relay and the 400 freestyle relay went to the Scarborough quartet of Russell, Stevens, Spencer and Twomey.
