Spring Harbor Hospital, Southern Maine’s largest psychiatric health-care network, will host an open house and information session, Saturday from 9 a.m.-noon at its Westbrook campus, off Outer Congress Street and Exit 46 of the Maine Turnpike.
The day’s events will include an educational session from 10-11 a.m. on suicide risk assessment. Continuing education credits will be available to nurses and social workers who participate. Leading the program will be Melissa Gattine, staff educator.
Open house participants can also get an overview of
Spring Harbor’s psychiatric health network and clinical careers; a tour of the facilities; and the chance to network with Spring Harbor’s nursing, social work and human resources staff. Light refreshments will be served and door prizes will be awarded.
Hospital and outpatient specialty programs highlighted at the event will be child, adolescent and adult treatment services, as well as treatment for youth who experience both mental illness and a developmental disorder, such as autism.
