This late-1960s photo, left, shows George’s Esso Servicecenter, which was operated by George Glicos at 730 Main St., at Stroudwater Street. Cumberland Farms Inc. of Canton, Mass., purchased the business and demolished the building to make way for a Cumberland Farms store. Several years ago, that store was torn down and a larger, more modern facility was built on the site. Prior to building its own store, Cumberland Farms was located at the first floor at 822 Main St., located opposite Ash Street.
