The Westbrook Sr. Babe Ruth team had their home opener against Windham (0-1) on Sunday, June 10, and teh local squad came away with a 9-1 victory.

Pitchers Adam Slivinsky and Mike Anthony combined on a three-hitter with a combined 11 strikeouts. Tayler Clouatre was

behind the plate. Derrick Green, Andrew Coulombe and Tayler Clouatre all contributed two hits each to pace the offense.

On Tuesday, Westbrook played at Warren Field against Saco and they earned a 5-2 win over the visitors. Pitcher Matt Lampron got the win going all seven innings and striking out four while allowing only four hits.

Alex Welch got Westbrook on the board in the third inning with a single that plated two runs. Joel Chadbourne, Matt Lampron, and Mike Anthony all had doubles for Westbrook (2-0).

Westbrook plays at Biddeford on Thursday, June 14.
