Sandra G. Plummer of Buxton resigned Tuesday as a director of School Administrative District 6.
“It is with sincere regret that I tender my resignation as director for the MSAD 6 Board of Directors, effective immediately,” Plummer wrote in a letter addressed to Buxton selectmen, with a copy to Superintendent Suzanne Lukas.
Plummer was one of four directors from Buxton. She had been re-elected in June last year. She said Wednesday she resigned due to health problems.
Cindy Hazelton of Buxton, board chairmwoman, said Wednesday she had not seen any written documentation of Plummer’s resignation but had heard it. Hazelton believed Buxton selectmen would appoint a replacement for Plummer until the next election.
Dan Collomy, chairman of Buxton selectmen, said the matter was to be discussed at Wednesday’s selectmen meeting.
The resignation came one week after the June 12 election.
