Construction has begun with the removal of a house on Reed Street to make way for a new road to the new Clearwater Bend, a 23-unit workforce housing project. The development, in the southwest corner of Route 302 and Reed Street, is being created by Community Housing of Maine, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation that develops affordable housing and advocates for policy benefiting low- and moderate-income families as well as the homeless.
