Roast beef supper – Saturday, Sept. 8, 5-6 p.m., Stroudwater Baptist Church, 1729 Congress St., Portland. Roast beef, mashed potatoes, gravy, carrots, peas, rolls, and homemade pies. $7.50, $4.

Parish breakfast – Sunday, Sept. 9, 7:30-11 a.m., St. Pius X Church, 492 Ocean Ave., Portland. Kinghts of Columbus, Council 2983 will serve a hearty breakfast to benefit St. Brigid’s School. $6, $3.

Bean supper – Friday, Sept. 14, 4:30-6 p.m., Old Orchard Beach United Methodist Church, corner of Washington and Fountain avenues, Old Orchard Beach. $6, $4, $20 for an immediate family.
