I am writing in support of Jim Violette for mayor of Westbrook.

As you know, the mayor race is almost like deja vu. A few years ago, the citizens of Westbrook were asked to decide between the same two candidates and by a very small margin, the selection was made.

Over the past few years, Jim Violette has continued to be a supportive presence and leader in Westbrook. He is on many boards and committees and is actively involved and well informed. I believe this is a key quality in a leader. Despite not having a seat on the council for the last two years, he’s continued to work on behalf of Westbrook. Talking to Jim reveals that he has a viable plan and concrete goals for the city that expand upon positive growth while giving the taxpayers much needed relief.

I believe Jim Violette is the best candidate for mayor of Westbrook and that he will bring much needed progress and change to the city.
