South Portland’s Mill Creek tree-lighting festivities are scheduled for Friday, Dec. 7, from 4:30-7:30 p.m. in Mill Creek Park.

The actual tree lighting will be at 6:30 p.m. Other activities include:

• Horse drawn carriage rides from 4:30-7:30 p.m.

• Photo with Santa Claus at City Hall from 5-7.

• Christmas carols with South Portland High School and middle school chorus students.

The event is sponsored by the city of South Portland, the South Portland/Cape Elizabeth Community Chamber, the Waterfront Market Association and the South Portland/Cape Elizabeth Rotary.
