Fire and rescue

Between Nov. 13 and Nov. 18, the Cape Elizabeth Rescue squad transported three patients to Maine Medical Center and two to Mercy Hospital.

On Nov. 14, at around 11:30 a.m., the fire department responded to an activated carbon monoxide detector on Merrimac Place.

On Nov. 14, at around 4:20 p.m., the fire department responded to an unattended burn on Bowery Beach Road.

On Nov. 15, the South Portland Police Department informed Cape Elizabeth police that a dog from Cape Elizabeth had been injured in a fight with an unknown animal. The injured dog was taken to a Cape veterinary clinic for possible bites. Police contacted the dog’s owner and issued a 45-day quarantine notice.
