The Westbrook American reported on Dec. 12, 1962, that Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Holmes of Wood Road announced the birth of a grandson, John J. Winters Jr., son of John and Ann (Holmes) Winters, Foxboro, Mass.

In Buxton, a deer was killed when it ran into the car of Mrs. Phil Cousens of Groveville,who was not injured.
