The Westbrook American reported on Jan. 9, 1963, that Elmer Dodge, Mrs. Philip Brown, Mrs. Ralph Duso, Mrs. Burleigh Loveitt, Arthur Sprague, John Alden and John Treworgy were appointed to a committee seeking a replacement for the Rev. Harrison Dubbs, retiring as First Parish pastor. Dodge was chairman of the committee and Treworgy represented the church’s Pilgrim Fellowship.
In Buxton, Mr. and Mrs. Basil Townsend were parents of a daughter, Dixie Jean, born Dec, 27, 1962, in the Osteopathic Hospital in Saco. The report said mother and daughter were home and doing fine.
