The Westbrook American reported on Feb. 6, 1963, that Agnes Gibbs honored her aunt, Eleonore Freyer, with a birthday open house attended by 70 friends and neighbors. Mrs. Chester Peniuk was in charge of the guest book.

In Buxton, Gerardus VanBetuw was recuperating at home after returning from the Osteopathic Hospital, Portland; illness had confined Clayton Murphy to his home for a week; and Virginia Briggs was a patient at Mercy Hospital, Portland.
