The Scarborough Public Library will celebrate National Poetry Month and National Library Week with readings by published poets Bruce Spang and Marita O’Neill on Monday at 6:30 p.m.
April is National Poetry Month. National Library Week runs April 13-19.
Works by both Spang and O’Neill have been acclaimed for their intelligence, humanity and incisive perspectives. Spang is reviews editor for the Cafa Review in Portland and is associate editor for Hunger Mountain. He currently teaches creative writing and American Literature at Scarborough High School.
O’Neill also teaches in the English department at Scarborough High School and is active in the poetry scene in Maine and New Hampshire.
