The Westbrook American reported on April 17, 1963, that a group of Gorham women were sewing needed items for Maine Medical Center in Portland. Mrs. Horton Gilman was chairwoman of the hospital’s auxiliary and Mrs. Arthur Sprague Jr. chaired the sewing project.
