At left is a view looking down Central Street toward Main Street. The wooden building on the left was an apartment house and the building to the right of it was the old Star Theater. Both buildings are long gone, and the portion of Central Street between William Clarke Drive and Main Street was closed off as part of the urban renewal project. A one-story brick building was constructed on the site and originally housed the Copper Hearth Restaurant, which went out of business a couple of years later. Martini Lane Beverage and Redemption now occupies the building.
