Gor girls soc snrs:

Seniors on the Gorham girls soccer team (from left) Rachele Burns, Ashley Martin, Molly Folan, Nicole Belhumeur, Taylor Sullivan, Caitlin Caldwell and Aimee St. Germain will look to lead the Rams to a fourth straight Class A state title this fall. Gorham takes a 53-game unbeaten streak into the season. Their last loss? The first game of the 2005 season when these girls were freshmen.

The Gorham girls soccer team practices on a wet Tuesday morning at the Gorham Middle School field. The Rams are three-time defending Class A champions and haven’t lost in 53 games.

Rachele Burns:

Gorham senior Rachele Burns, last year’s Gatorade Maine Girls Soccer Player of the Year, was cleared play soccer this season after having suffered a torn ACL last winter while playing basketball. “I’m getting back into shape,” Burns said. “I’m getting there. I’m getting better.”
