Cape Elizabeth Public Works has scheduled a fall household e-waste collection day, Saturday, Oct. 11, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., at the facility on Cooper Drive, below the Recycling Center.

Accepted items include fluorescent light bulbs, mercury and mercury thermometers, thermostats, monitors (CRTs) and televisions.

Other devices that may be included in this collection, but may also be disposed of in the normal manner (swap shop, metal bin or trash), include computer equipment such as CPUs (computer towers), printers, keyboards and peripherals, electronics and

old stereo equipment.

Electronic equipment, stereo equipment, TVs, computers and peripherals will be limited to a total of five items per household; bulbs, thermostats, mercury and mercury thermometers in reasonable amounts.

Collection is limited to household-generated waste. Items should be taken directly to the collection site.
