The Capers just keep rolling along.

The Cape Elizabeth football team (2-0) remained undefeated on the season as they traveled out to Fryeburg Academy (0-2) and came away with a 26-10 win last Friday night.

Cape quarterback Ezra Wolfinger led the Capers on offense with three touchdown passes in the contest.

The game was a tight one in the first half, as Cape went into the break with a slim three-point lead at 13-10. The Capers got a first quarter touchdown on a 10-yard pass from Wolfinger to Pat Boland and a second quarter touchdown on a 7-yard pass from Wolfinger to Finn Melanson.

Cape broke the game over in the third quarter thanks to Kyle Piscopo. After the Raiders were forced to give up the ball on downs in Cape territory, Piscopo burst through the line and broke off a 61-yard touchdown run.

The Capers got one more score in the fourth quarter when Nate Lavallee scooped up a Fryeburg fumble, setting the stage for Wolfinger’s third TD pass of the game, a 25-yard strike to Melanson.

The Capers return home this Friday night for a battle of undefeated teams as 2-0 Falmouth comes to Hannaford Field for a 7 p.m. game. The Yachtsmen, who beat Fryeburg Academy 7-6 in the opener on Sept. 6, come into the game off a dominating 34-0 shutout win over Lake Region on Sept. 12.
