BEMS keeping pace

Bonny Eagle Middle School students and teachers are participating in a cardiovascular fitness test called The Pacer, which allows the students and teachers to challenge themselves by running until they can’t run anymore.

The distance to run is 20 meters with a controlled music CD. Each “dash” is timed. The amount of time to finish each sprint gets shorter and shorter as the test progresses, with it eventually becoming sprint relays.

All students and teachers were asked to go as long as they could go.

Marriage intentions

Buxton’s Deputy Town Clerk Brenda Brown this week reported four marriage intentions recently filed in Town Hall. They are:

Paul Johnson Sr. to Carmen Cassette; Joseph Swain II to Tia Turcotte; William Compston to Jo Roderick; and Patrick Hanna to Tracie Kimball.

Cutline (BEMS pacer students) – Bonny Eagle Middle School seventh graders Sam Clift, Chet Komulainen, and Ryan Goodwin prepare to run the pacer.
