This photo, taken in February 1974, offers a glimpse down Brackett Street from the vicinity of the Post Office. The Westbrook Congregational Church, built in 1834, and the buildings behind it were awaiting demolition under the urban renewal project. This section of Brackett Street between Wayside Drive and Main Street was discontinued under urban renewal and a plaza now occupies the site.
