Bishop Richard J. Malone of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Portland has announced the following assignments effective

Jan. 30.

Msgr. Michael Henchal and Msgr. Paul Stefanko have been named pastor and parochial vicar, respectively, of the following parishes: Holy Cross and St. John, South Portland; St. Bartholomew, Cape Elizabeth, and St. Maximilian Kolbe, Scarborough.

Henchal’s primary residence will be at the St. Maximilian rectory, and he will continue to serve as vicar general of the Diocese of Portland. Stefanko’s primary residence will be at St. Bartholomew’s rectory, and he will continue to serve as judicial vicar of the diocese.
