The Gray-New Gloucester/Poland Patriotic Knights upped their record to 6-2 with a 5-2 boys ice hockey win over Bonny Eagle (2-5) on Saturday at USM Ice Arena in Gorham.

Nate Becker gave the Patriotic Knights a 1-0 lead in the first period, assisted by Chris Lessard. In the second period, Kolby Arnold scored twice to up the lead to 3-0. Bonny Eagle got one back before the end of the period as Travis Dunn tallied to make it 3-1.

Ben Piper, assisted by Arnold, scored midway through the third period to give the Patriotic Knights a 4-1 lead. Pat Collins then converted a Piper feed to make it 5-1. Joe Call scored the second goal for the Scots in the last minute of the game.

Bonny Eagle outshot Gray-New Gloucester/Poland 36-28, but the Patriotic Knights were on the power play 13 times, converting three of them, while the Scots were a man up six times, scoring once.

Sean Bilodeau made 34 saves for Gray-New Gloucester/Poland, currently seeded fifth in the Eastern Maine Class A Heal Point standings. Chris Smith made 23 stops for the Scots, who are 14th in the West A Heal Points.
