A female passenger in a pickup truck was hospitalized Friday after a collision during the morning commute with an oil truck on Route 25 in Gorham, according to police.

Police said the eastbound pickup truck driver, who was blinded by the sun, turned left into Lampron’s Energy and was sideswiped by a westbound Dodge Oil Truck.

Gorham Police Chief Ron Shepard said the female passenger in the pick up truck sustained minor injuries. Shepard said the accident happened shortly after 8 a.m. Further details weren’t immediately available.
