Gorham police are looking for a man who robbed Lampron’s Mini Mart on Gray Road on April 5.

Sgt. Daniel Young said in a report the robber had entered the store about 7:40 p.m. and waited until other customers left. Police said the robber attempted to buy cigarettes. When the clerk opened the cash drawer, the robber pushed the clerk and grabbed a handful of cash from the cash drawer. Police said the clerk tried unsuccessfully to restrain the robber, who got away after a brief struggle. The robber fled on foot in an unknown direction.

Detective Sears Edwards is investigating the strong-arm robbery, which was caught on tape. Police said no weapon was mentioned or displayed. Edwards described the suspect as white, between 24-30 years old and approximately 5 feet 9 inches in height and weighing 170-175 pounds with light brown hair, goatee and sideburns. The suspect was wearing a blue hoodie sweatshirt, black and white baseball hat and blue athletic pants with a brown/maroon stripe on both sides.
