The Old Gray Goose, a country dance band, is presenting this

year’s roundup of Maine’s champion fiddlers at the Downeast fiddle jamboree, held on May 22 and 23 at the Saco River Grange Hall in Bar Mills.

After months in the studio recording and mixing, Bluezberry Jam is releasing its first CD with a party and performance at the Saco Coffeehouse Friday. The band plays a combination of originals and jazzy interpretations of old standards.

Local author Colin Sargent will be talking about his book, “The Museum of Human Beings,” at the Walker library in Westbrook Tuesday at noon. The book is about Jean-Baptiste, the son of Sacagawea, who was taken to Europe and exhibited as a man-savage.
