Ricetta’s of South Portland will celebrate its 20th anniversary in June by highlighting items that have stayed on its menu for the whole two decades.

The store opened at 29 Western Ave. on June 12, 1989. Its brick-oven pizzeria has won the Best Pizza category in the Maine Sunday Telegram’s annual “Best of Maine” for the past 19 years. (It took second place in its first year.)

For the month of June, Ricetta’s offering a discount on each of the long-standing customer favorites. Also, the store will host its annual “Dad Eats Free” buffet on Father’s Day, June 21, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. To eat free, dads just need bring in a paying child – young or old.
