A Buxton man was arrested following a raid Tuesday by the federal Drug Enforcement Agency and Buxton police.
Buxton Police Chief Mike Grovo said Dennis E. Ward, 44, of 25 No Such Road, was charged with aggravated cultivating of marijuana, which is a class B crime.
Grovo said Wednesday that the investigation is still ongoing.
“He could get jail time,” Grovo said .
Police seized about 390 marijuana plants, with an approximate street value of $80,000.
Acting on a tip, police at 1:15 p.m. discovered a large indoor marijuana growing operation in the home. Besides Grovo, Buxton officers Scott Camire and Jason Denison participated in the raid. Ward was released on bail, Grovo said.
