PHOTO AND CUTLINE

With help from custodian Ray Adams, Jalyssa Beason, 7, jumps on a shovel, digging a hole in which to bury a time capsule prepared by Valerie Dominski’s second-grade class at Saccarappa School. Contained in the capsule, which is made of PVC pipe and signed by all the students, is a zip drive of interviews conducted and movies made by the members of the class. Dominski’s first class at Saccarappa buried a time capsule seven years ago. Now freshmen at the high school, they’ll dig it up when they graduate – as will this year’s second-graders.
