A house built in the late 1800s as a home and office by a Dr. Jenness, left photo, once stood on Main Street at Stroudwater Street. Dr. Thomas Smith was the next occupant and later, Dr. A.H. Burroughs. The building subsequently became an apartment house.
The house was demolished in the mid 1960s to make way for a Dunkin’ Donuts franchise store.
