BIDDEFORD — U.S. Rep. Chellie Pingree, D-Maine, will tour the North Dam Mill with the regional administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency on Monday afternoon.

Pingree and Curt Spaulding, the EPA regional administrator, will visit the mill, a redevelopment project partially made possible through funds from the EPA.

Pingree and Spaulding are expected to be joined by local officials like Biddeford City Manager John Bubier and David Littel, commissioner of the Maine Department of Environmental Protection.

The North Dam Mill is part of a complex of industrial buildings that date back to the 1800s. More recently an electric blanket factory, in 2006 the mill reopened and now has a mix of businesses.
