Jason Aucoin administers a flu shot to Brian Canterbury on Saturday at a Portland Health and Human Services clinic at the First Lutheran Church on Auburn Street. The flu is now considered widespread in Maine, and according to the city’s Public Health Division, shots are recommended for everyone, especially people over 50; those with chronic medical conditions; pregnant women; people in long-term care or institutional settings; health-care workers; caregivers of those at high risk, and children 6 months old and older.
