BRUNSWICK — Five Rivers Arts Alliance is holding its fifth Pecha Kucha night at Frontier Cafe on Monday, March 21 at 6 p.m.

Pecha Kucha, which means “chit chat” or “little conversation,” features the work of 10 local artists, innovators and creative thinkers. Each artist will have exactly 6 minutes and 40 seconds to present 20 of slides of their work, and each slide is viewed and discussed for 20 seconds.

Presenters include Jacinda Martinez, Bill Tomsa, Jennifer Wilkey, Rebecca McNulty, Al Heath, Jacques Vesery, Andrew Jawitz, Elisabeth Tova Bailey, Susy Perrine and Tom Greenier.

Pecha Kucha events are held in cities around the world, and have been in Maine since 2007. The concept was started by architect Mark Dytham in Japan in 2003.

The event is free for Five Rivers members and $5 for the general public. Reservations are strongly recommended. To reserve a seat, contact Five Rivers at info@fiveriversartsalliance.org.
