YARMOUTH – Devin Simsarian had two goals and an assist, and Lindsey Purpura added two goals Saturday to lead Yarmouth to a 6-2 victory against Marshwood in a schoolgirl lacrosse game.
Natalie Salmon also had a goal and an assist for the Clippers (6-1), who scored the only three goals of the second half.
Meghan Lewis made 18 saves for Marshwood (5-3).
BONNY EAGLE 11, THORNTON ACADEMY 10: Kate Boyer scored five goals as the Scots (3-4) got by the Golden Trojans (4-3) at Standish.
Sam Campobasso added four for Bonny Eagle, which took a one-goal lead with 1:23 left, then added a goal with 36 seconds to play. The Trojans scored the last goal with 15 seconds remaining.
Erin Kany scored four times for Thornton and Allie McCarthy made 11 saves.
Marisa Butler had 10 saves for the Scots.
WAYNFLETE 10, CHEVERUS 6: Sadie Cole scored four goals to carry the visiting Flyers (6-1) over the Stags (1-7) at Portland.
Katherine Torrey stopped 10 shots for Waynflete.
Elyse Caiazzo had two goals and an assist for Cheverus. Ali Saxton made nine saves.
BRUNSWICK 10, FALMOUTH 4: Dakota Foster scored six goals to power the Dragons (6-2) past the Yachtsmen (5-2) at Falmouth.
Corrine O’Connor chipped in two goals for Brunswick.
Alex Bernier had two goals for Falmouth.
KENNEBUNK 10, GREELY 7: Camille Auger and Allie Bush had three goals apiece to lead the Rams (7-1) over the Rangers (3-4) at Kennebunk.
Kennebunk led 4-3 at the half, and it remained close until the Rams ended the game on a 4-0 run.
Audrey Parolin paced Greely with three goals.
WELLS 14, BIDDEFORD 7: Kelly Beisswanger had five goals and two assists as the Warriors (2-3) stopped the Tigers (0-6) at Wells.
Emily Knight chipped in four goals, and Maddie Andrews and Jennie Li each had two assists.
Laura Letellier and Mallory Morin scored two goals apiece for Biddeford.
SCARBOROUGH 12, MT. ARARAT 5: Maggie Smith and Mary Scott each had three goals to help the Red Storm (6-1) beat the Eagles (4-2) at Topsham.
Haley Michaud scored three times for Mt. Ararat.
FREEPORT 18, LINCOLN ACADEMY 5: Becca Lane and Alex Mitch each had three goals to lift the Falcons (4-3) over the Eagles (1-7) at Newcastle.
Meredith Broderick, Jess Hench, Lauren Easter and Katie Turner added two goals each.
NYA 11, MESSALONSKEE 4: Katherine Millett, Megan Fortier and Lilly Wellenbach each had three goals and an assist as the Panthers (4-4) beat the Eagles (6-2) at Yarmouth.
Junior varsity goalie Nikolle Storey filled in for NYA and made 14 saves.
SOFTBALL
FRYEBURG ACADEMY 6, SACOPEE VALLEY 2: Sara Harriman threw a one-hitter and struck out 12 to lead the Raiders (11-0) over the Hawks (8-2) at South Hiram.
Maddie Pearson and Ashley Watkins doubled for Fryeburg, which scored all its runs on errors.
